The Saga of the Hudson River Rock Ascent

Image
A woman is sitting on a Hudson River rock, She was out for some sun and to take a wee walk, but While innocently ascending through the weeds and the gravel, She snagged her yellow sweater and it started to unravel. She didn’t mind at first, since what was the worst That could happen to beset her from loss of a sweater. Well! Little did she know on her upward climb, She was creeping through a climate zone that once upon a time Caused a temperature inversion that reversed the Immersion that had caused the incursion Of the balmy interspersion that released her from the weather That required a sweater! Well, She shivered and she shook And by hook, crook and nook, She descended from the River Rock And lived to give her first TED talk! East Shore of the Hudson River near Cold Springs Harbor

What happened was, I discoveredt there was lid on my life. It wasn’t easy to notice at first, since there were holes for draining the peas and carrots. It looked like everything was fine, so long as I forgot to look right or left, like a once happy horse full of blinders. But as luck would have it, using a string from a lost green bean, I scaled up the edge of the pot, and wham! Over I went, pan, lid, stringbean string and all. So I’m sitting there on the counter top, and what do you know? The door is cracked open a small little bit! I swore I had it locked and chained, but no! So I got off the couter and Out I Went! (sometimes self interest and amnesia just win out.) And guess What I saw outside?

It was 2:15, and we walked in just north of the museum. Well there were people all over the place, and friend Rita asked the first three guys where they got their glasses, and she said I'm jealous, and one of them said, "here", and gave us a pair of glasses. It 2:44 when it was at the height, so we went on up the hill.  And finally the sun came out behind a limb, and it was a teeny tiny little red thing with a black thing in front of it and black all around and it made me so happy to see it. Please don't leave page before the photo~~!!  and it just made our other friend Gabrielle happy-- she just kept saying "I'm so happy'.  So I'm standing on the sidewalk with these glasses and people walking by me, and so I said to couple of people, "have you seen the

Pale Lady of the Secret Garden Returns

Image
Oh, it's great to return to my home all clean, but Where is my dubious, shady patine? It's great to be back in my pond alright, but Where are the greens and the darks and the light? Where are the dabbles and dribbles and tears, Engraved in my gossamer over the years? I'll start over, I guess, and in no time at all I'll be dripping and messy and ready for fall! Our beautiful lady of the secret waters--returned after being scrubbed
