Robino Tastes a Red Berry

Image
as luck would have it, while walking in a field of yellow leaves,  we find Robino once again, nibbling on a Red Berry.  Late afternoon by the reservoir in Central Park

Robino Comes Home!

Image
Amazing. We almost didn't recognize Robino. It was a difficult trip this winter, and a long, long winter to boot. Poor Robino! I know there was a lot of girth that wasn't totally accountable from feathers, but this slim, happy Robino. Well! What a nice surprise! Robino Finds a Twig

Image
Robino is back!  The migration was a  success.  Robino has returned from a journey of hundreds of miles, using only the onboard mind for a pilot and a six-ounce body with feathered wings for a plane.  It's spring and well into nest building season; Robino has found a perfect patch of sun with lots of dead grass. This time of year, modeling just isn't a priority! Robin in Mid-Central Park

Robino and Squiva: Blotchy!

Image
Both Robino and Squiva are blotchy for some reason. Maybe the humidity?  The Heat?   Robino (being very high strung and anxious) agreed to this photo regardless, but Squiva!  Squiva came right up to me for a change, but the coat is not doing well.  It is healing, but of course Squiva couldn't bear to appear without everything in total array.  We expect it  to be all better in a month or so.
