A Cardboard Box
Saddened by time, I come across a cardboard box.
Four flaps folded crosswise.
It’s been around like me, tailored by time,
You know the kind.
My dolls, wrapped up in tissue paper.
Right brain crashing,
Spinning childscapes,
Tying a billion knots in space.

The cardboard box(s) that come to mind on this day are ones my mom used to let us put out on the "playroom" floor. I'd cut windows and doors in the sides; top open; flaps trimmed to use for making furniture with tape. Crayons coloring in details of wallpaper and curtains…… An especially fun for a rainy summer day. Thank you Linda Jo <3
